Can I see the Azure spending costs by myself?
Azure Portal Billing View. Information can be found in the Cost Management + Billing section.
I do not have access to the Azure Portal. How can I get access to the Azure Portal?
Create a ServiceNow (SNOW) ticket.
What is the ABB discount with Microsoft for Azure Services?
The discount is 19%. The invoice received by the Division is based on the Microsoft Services less the 19% discount, but includes the ABB standard transfer price of 5%.
How can I see what services are costing me the most in my resource group?
When will my Division receive an invoice?
Quarterly (after the quarter is closed) with a possible delay in the case of first invoicing. The Q4 invoice will be sent before the end of the year.
How is the total cost calculated?
Microsoft invoice (including -19% of discount) + 5% markup (standard ABB transfer). If the subscription is located in China, a VAT for China will be included.
Who issues the invoices?
ABB Inc. (for EU/US) and CNABB (for China).
How can I update the invoicing data?
The invoicing process requires the following specifics:
- Invoice address
- Contact person for invoicing
- Cost Center
- Division
- ABACUS Code
- CIT Code
- PG
- ICV Number

Who is responsible for providing the invoicing details and paying for the usage?
The operations team, and onboarding team, will work with you to insure all information is collected. The subscription owner/business (entity) using the subscription is responsible for paying the usage.
Are there any exemptions from invoicing?
Only in the case of of ABB Ability™ Platform instances, whereas Q1 of the 2019 cost will be absorbed internally by the Digital function. Division instances (subscriptions) need to be covered by the corresponding owners.
Starting from Q2 2019, ABB Ability™ Platform instances and Division application instances (subscription) costs will be invoiced to the corresponding owners.
Any exemption to this model will need to be discussed and approved.
Is a Purchase Order required?
Purchase Orders are recommended.
Can I use different invoicing details (split the cost) for one subscription/resource group?
The costs may be invoiced at the subscription level or resource group level. However, no further split can be done lower than the resource group level.
Can I get more detailed information about the charged subscription on the invoices?
On the invoice no, however, you can request them from Manish Sainin or Mateusz Gorka.
What options do I have to appeal the charges in the invoice?
The Client Success Team can review the costs as allocated and the subscriptions and resource groups assigned to the owners.
I looked at the Azure Portal, but my costs don’t match your invoice.
Remember to look at all regions and consider the 5% ABB markup.
I do not want to use an Azure environment anymore. How can I delete it?
Create a ServiceNow ticket.
Can you provide me a list of subscriptions that are going to be invoiced to me as well as resource groups within the subscription?
Yes, the CST Team can provide a list, as we see it from our side. You should also be able to find the subscriptions and resource groups by looking in the Azure Portal and following the management groups which are organized by Business Area and Division.
