# Responsibilities of Ability Platform Operations Team

  • Ensure availability of the deployments within the agreed service target (ST) for the Production Environments.
  • Deploy new instances of ABB Ability™ Platform as per approved requests.
  • Update hotfix, patches to existing deployments as applicable and agreed with the respective clients/teams.
  • Define the deployment strategies with inputs and agreement from the DevOps team.
  • Own and manage the "Release Pipelines" for ABB Ability™ Platform deployments in DevOps workflow.
  • Work closely with CST, Dev, QA team for any issue reported by the clients on the existing deployments.
  • Automate or help to automate (with feedback) all the release deployments/reporting/monitoring scenarios.
  • Responsible for 24x7 support (on-call, chat, mail) with defined ST for a response.
  • Provide feedback to CST, DevOps for any new changes/improvements as per observation in normal operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of the deployments. Raise & report alerts for any issues identified.
  • Monitor and maintain the desired performance of the deployments.
  • Maintain the scalability of the deployed infrastructure per client requirements.
  • Document anomalies observed during all stages of pre-production and production.
  • Responsible for subscription management.
  • Responsible for platform monitoring tools.
  • Responsible for inventory management in the Azure Portal.
  • Responsible for Access Management for deployments, subscriptions, resource groups.
  • Provide regular updates [daily, weekly, monthly, etc. as required] to stakeholders on the state of the deployments and respective changes or updates.
